- Discuss the prevalence of HBV in specific subpopulations.
- Review approaches for minimizing/avoiding the development of drug resistance during treatment of chronic hepatis B including rationale for the development of antiviral combinations.
- Describe the results of recent studies of antiviral agents for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B, including adefovir dipivoxil, clevudine, entecavir, peginterferon, pradefovir, telbivudine, and tenofovir.
