In this 2008 Presidential election year, we invite you to participate in a mock HBV Election where you can hear debates about new clinical candidates, get answers on novel management strategies in a Clinical Town Hall Meeting, and ultimately cast your vote in this CME-certified program.

Program Overview

You are invited to attend a novel CME-certified symposium involving didactic presentations, panel debates, and interactive input from the participants.

Goal

The goal of this activity is for participants to acquire knowledge regarding the potential clinical role of novel agents in the management of patients with chronic hepatitis B.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for hepatologists, gastroenterologists, and other healthcare providers involved in the care of patients with viral hepatitis.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recount the results of clinical studies of investigational treatments for chronic hepatitis B
  • Describe the resistance profiles of emerging agents for the treatment of chronic viral hepatitis B
  • Identify current strategies for treating special populations of hepatitis B
  • Identify current hepatitis B virus management strategies that may change as a result of current drugs in development
