The 6th Annual Clinical Care Options Hepatitis Symposium is designed for participants to synthesize the advancements of the previous year and to discuss state-of-the-art treatment strategies with leading experts and colleagues in a setting that is conducive to both formal learning and informal networking.
Purpose
The purpose of this activity is to provide participants with an update on the past year's advances in hepatitis research and care and to illuminate the implications of those advances for practical treatment strategies.
Target Audience
This activity is designed as a state-of-the-art curriculum for frontline physicians, registered nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the management of patients with viral hepatitis.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Summarize recent developments in clinical and basic science in hepatitis treatment
- Discuss the latest advances in treatments, both approved and investigational, for patients with acute or chronic hepatitis
- Identify emerging strategies in the development of combination therapies for hepatitis treatment
- Describe management strategies for autoimmune hepatitis, decompensated cirrhosis and other special populations
