At this premier scientific meeting, the world's leading researchers gather to present data and discuss recent directions in oncology research, with a focus on translating the most recent laboratory developments into the development of treatments that improve clinical outcomes for cancer patients. The program, developed under the direction of co-chairs Dennis J. Slamon, MD, PhD, and John Crown, MD, MPH, includes relevant didactic presentations and compelling, interactive discussions.

Faculty are carefully selected from among the researchers at the forefront of the translational work in the topic, whether from academia, government, or industry. The program encourages networking and interaction between the attendees and the renowned faculty members.

Tuition and Registration

The registration fee includes admission to all sessions, educational meeting materials, continuing medical education credit, group meals, and functions.

A discounted registration fee is offered for registrations received by September 15, 2008.

Your registration is not confirmed until your registration has been acknowledged and payment has been received.

Fees, less a $50 processing charge, are refundable if cancellation received by Clinical Care Options no later than September 25, 2008. All cancellations must be in writing. Substitution of another qualified registrant may be accepted upon receipt of a newly completed registration form.

No refunds will be given after October 1, 2008.

This activity is intended for biomedical investigators in the area of cancer research from academia and industry, as well as medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists. Registration and attendance is limited to healthcare professionals and researchers working at least half-time actively treating patients or conducting research in an academic setting. Any individual wishing to register who is not a clinician or researcher and/or is employed by a biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare payer, and/or publishing company may not register for or attend the conference unless pre-approved directly and off-line in advance of registration by the conference organizers. A limited number of commercial representatives, whose names will be submitted by companies providing support for this CME activity, will be allowed to register directly with the conference organizers and attend the conference.

Registered participants in the 7th International Symposium on Translational Research in Oncology are eligible to take advantage of our specially negotiated discount room rate of $272 per night, which includes tax and fees. This special rate will be honored from October 16 - October 19, 2008 only. Accommodations before October 16, 2008 and after October 19, 2008 are subject to hotel availability. This rate is based on single and double occupancy.

To take advantage of the negotiated discount rates, you must register online or complete the hotel information form and remit your full payment (checks should be made out to Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach).

To guarantee hotel accommodations, you must include payment for the room nights ($272 per night) requested. Please return this payment along with your registration form. If you are paying by credit card, your card will be charged upon guest check-out. The first night's room & tax is taken upon the reservation being made. If the hotel does not receive the cancellation within 72-hours, the first night room & tax will be charged to the credit card.

If paying by check, please send the check 2 weeks in advance. Guests will still need to provide credit card for incidentals.

To/From LAX Airport:
Super Shuttle - runs 24 hours a day and reservations are not needed or taken. Vans are located outside on the lower level of the baggage claim area. Cross over to the center island and look for the orange sign. Shuttles pick up approximately every 10 minutes. A Super Shuttle attendant will be at the stop to assist passengers.

Exit Airport on Airport Way To I-405. Take I-405 North towards Long Beach. Exit I-405 N at Beach Blvd. Merge towards Huntington Beach. Continue on Beach Blvd 5.7 miles resort on right hand side.

From Long Beach Airport (approximately 18 miles):
Exit Airport on E. Donald Douglas Dr. Turn right on N. Lakewood Blvd. Turn left on E. Willow St. Take the I-405 South towards San Diego. Take Beach Blvd. exit towards Huntington Beach. Turn left on Center Ave. and right on Beach Blvd. Continue on Beach Blvd. 5.7 miles resort on right hand side.

From Los Angeles International Airport (approximately 38 miles) and Points North:
Exit Airport towards Century Blvd. Take S. Sepulveda Blvd. to the I-105 East ramp towards Norwalk. Merge East on I-105 towards I-405 South towards Long Beach. Take I-405 South to Beach Blvd towards Huntington Beach. Turn left on Center Ave. and right on Beach Blvd. Continue on Beach Blvd 5.7 miles resort on right hand side.

From San Diego and Points South:
Follow I-5 North toward Los Angeles. Merge onto CA-73 N toward Long Beach (portions toll), and take the Bison Ave exit #13. Turn left onto Bison Ave, then turn left onto Jamboree Rd. Turn slight right onto East Coast Hwy / CA-1 N/ Pacific Coast Hwy. Continue to follow CA-1 N / Pacific Coast Hwy to end at the resort.

From Las Vegas and Points East:
Follow I-15 S toward Los Angeles (crossing into California). Merge onto CA-91 W, toward Beach Cities. Merge onto CA-55 s via exit 34 on the left toward Newport Beach. Take the CA-1 N / CA-1 S exit toward Long Beach / San Diego, ten turn right onto W Coast Hwy / CA-1 N / Pacific Coast Hwy. Continue to follow CA-1 N / Pacific Coast Hwy to end at the resort.
