Target Audience

This program is intended for primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician associates/physician assistants, and other members of the healthcare team who manage patients at risk for NVAF.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performances of learners regarding the implications of undiagnosed NVAF, methods to improve detection and NVAF management, and strategies for reducing disparities in NVAF care.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Describe potential risks of undiagnosed NVAF while identifying patients at increased risk for NVAF and commonly associated cardiovascular comorbidities
Apply guideline recommendations and evidence-based techniques in the primary care setting to increase the diagnosis of NVAF in at-risk patients
