CE Requirements

ACPE CE Requirements

ACPE and NABP Policy
Effective May 1, 2014
ACPE and NABP will no longer allow ACPE-accredited CE providers to issue statements of credit directly to participants. CE credit may only be awarded via CPE Monitor. Participants may print a copy of their statement from their NABP e-Profile account. CE provider-generated certificates will no longer be valid. Official Statements of Credit must be obtained from CPE Monitor.

CE credits must be submitted to CPE Monitor within 60 days of completing a CE activity. No credits will be accepted by CPE Monitor after this deadline.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO YOU?

In order to comply with the CPE Monitor 60-day rule, it is ProCE policy that CE requirements be completed within 30 days of an activity:

  • Home-Study/enduring CE activities: Be sure to complete the post-test and evaluation prior to the course expiration date to ensure an on-time credit submission to your CPE Monitor account.
  • Live CE Activities: Be sure to complete the post-test (if applicable for the specific CE activity) and evaluation within 30 days of the live activity date to ensure an on-time submission to your CPE Monitor account.

NOTE: You must click the 'CLAIM CE' option for the activity to submit credit to CPE Monitor. If this step is not completed, CE Credit will not be reported.

If you need to create or obtain an NABP e-Profile ID, please go to the NABP Web site and fill out your e-Profile in order to obtain your unique ID number.

Pharmacy Technicians

PTCB requires CPhTs to earn only pharmacy technician-specific (‘T-specific’) credit to qualify for recertification. As of January 1, 2015, ALL CPE credit earned must be T-specific. For more information, and a list of all PTCB changes, visit: http://www.ptcb.org/about-ptcb/crest-initiative.
