Target Audience

This program is intended for US primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants/physician associates.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of primary care providers to optimize treatment of patients with T2D and overweight/obesity.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Incorporate shared decision-making techniques into the management of patients with T2D

  • Apply strategies to improve adherence to treatment plans for T2D and weight management
