To improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of primary care physicians, NPs, and PAs in application of evidence-based practices to optimize early treatment for patients with T2D and overweight/obesity to improve long-term outcomes.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Modify treatment regimens according to the latest evidence and guideline recommendations that reflect the importance of early therapy intensification to meet individualized needs of patients with T2D
Select the most appropriate incretin-based therapies for the treatment of patients with overweight or obesity and T2D
Apply patient-centered strategies that address sustained weight loss as a primary treatment target for T2D
