Target Audience

This program is intended for physicians, pharmacists, registered nurses, physician associates/physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) who care for persons with HIV infection.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this program is to enable learners to ensure retention in HIV care and to respond to evolving medical and other needs among persons with HIV who are experiencing major life transitions.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Overcome barriers for successful, sustained engagement with HIV care when transitioning among healthcare settings such as child- to adult-oriented care or adult-oriented to long-term care

  • Implement approaches for optimizing HIV treatment in people undergoing major life changes including gender transitioning and key stages of aging
