Target Audience

This program is intended for primary care providers including physicians, nurses, and NP/PAs that care for older adults at risk for severe RSV infections.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize the burden of RSV disease in older adults
  • Identify RSV infection among older individuals presenting with common respiratory symptoms
  • Describe the current state of adult RSV vaccine development including potential platforms, candidate populations, and pertinent clinical data
  • Discuss practical strategies to improve adult vaccine uptake acknowledging key challenges including health disparities and vaccine hesitancy
