Perioperative Pain Management

Clinical Thought

Although perioperative pain can be addressed by numerous treatments and modalities, we typically refer to pharmacologic agents. However, before choosing a pain pharmacotherapy, healthcare professionals must take multiple patient factors into consideration, especially when opioid analgesics are an option.
