This educational program is intended for all healthcare professionals across multiple disciplines and specialties who care for transgender individuals, including medical oncologists, gynecologists, HIV specialists, primary care physicians, pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
The goal of this education is to advance knowledge, competence, and performance of healthcare professionals to ensure they are providing inclusive care for all patients, including cancer screening and preventive care for transgender individuals.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Implement strategies to build a compassionate and inclusive healthcare environment to foster a comfortable and trusting relationship between healthcare professionals and transgender individuals
Plan effective screening and cancer prevention plans based on an anatomical checklist consistent with the patient’s current anatomical structure
