Target Audience

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the phenomenology of bipolar depression and its interface with cognitive dysfunction
  • Identify risks and benefits of monoaminergic antidepressants in subgroups of patients with bipolar depression
  • Assess evidence supporting the use and limitations of mood-stabilizing drugs and second-generation antipsychotics for the treatment of unipolar and bipolar depression
