Target Audience

This program is intended for cardiologists (including lipid specialists), internal medicine/primary care providers, nurse practitioners, physician associates, and other healthcare professionals who care for patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia. 

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge and competence of learners in identifying and managing patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia including those with FCS.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review the pathophysiology and burden of disease in patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia

  • Assess the safety and efficacy of current and emerging therapies for treating severe hypertriglyceridemia

  • Evaluate current treatment options in patients with familial chylomicronemia syndrome and emerging strategies to address unmet needs
