Target Audience

This activity is intended for nephrologists, endocrinologists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician associates, and other healthcare professionals who manage patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge and competence of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with CKD and T2D.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  • Discuss the proposed mechanisms of renal benefits with GLP-1 RAs

  • Evaluate the latest efficacy and safety data for GLP-1 RAs in patients with T2D and CKD​

  • Incorporate into practice the latest guidelines and evidence-based therapies to achieve glycemic goals and improve cardiorenal outcomes in patients with T2D and CKD​
