Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of adults residing in long-term care facilities.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to improve healthcare professionals’ knowledge and competence related to the burden of RSV among long-term care facility residents, risk factors for severe disease, vaccine data and recommendations, and strategies to improve vaccine uptake.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  • Counsel patients and caregivers on the risk of severe RSV among adults residing in long-term care facilities

  • Implement current RSV vaccine recommendations into clinical practice

  • Develop strategies to overcome barriers to RSV vaccination in long-term care facilities
