Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of people living with HIV.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to equip healthcare professionals to provide optimal care for treatment-experienced people living with multidrug-resistant HIV by staying up-to-date on evolving science and applying best practices in the individualized selection of antiretroviral agents.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  • Apply key principles for the successful management of treatment-experienced people living with HIV

  • Devise antiretroviral treatment strategies for people with multidrug-resistant HIV that leverage the attributes of agents approved for use in this setting

  • Integrate a whole-person perspective when selecting ART regimens for each treatment-experienced individual, including drug resistance profile, comorbidities, and individual characteristic and needs
