HPTN 091: PrEP + Immediate vs Deferred Colocated GAHT/Peer Health Navigation for Transgender Women

Conference Coverage
Slideset

Phase II/III HPTN 091 study of sexually active transgender women suggested that, regardless of immediate or deferred colocation of gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) and peer health navigation, all study participants were highly engaged in PrEP for HIV. Immediate colocation of GAHT and peer health navigation did not enhance PrEP uptake or adherence over linkage to GAHT and case management services.
