Key Takeaways From IAS 2023 on Diagnosis, Linkage to Care, and Treatment of Migrant and Refugee Populations in Eastern Europe

In the context of recent increases in migrant and refugee populations in Eastern Europe and the associated challenges of HIV and opportunistic infection care, new data reported at IAS 2023 on the benefits of social network HIV testing for increasing diagnosis and linkage to care and on the efficacy and safety of short-course TB treatment among refugees receiving INSTI-based ART for HIV coinfection were of particular interest to my clinical practice.
