Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, pharmacists, NPs, registered nurses, and other HCPs who care for children, adolescents, and/or young adults in need of meningococcal vaccination.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to improve HCPs’ knowledge and competence regarding the risk factors for invasive meningococcal disease, updates on available vaccines and recommendations, and strategies for successful implementation into clinical practice.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Effectively counsel patients and caregivers on the risk factors and complications of invasive meningococcal disease

  • Integrate the latest meningococcal vaccines and recommendations into clinical practice

  • Develop strategies to overcome barriers to meningococcal vaccination in adolescents and young adults
