Target Audience

This program is intended for physicians, pharmacists, registered nurses, physician associates/physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals who care for persons at risk of HIV acquisition.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this program is to improve healthcare professionals’ competence and effectiveness at overcoming barriers in offering and providing PrEP for all adult and adolescent candidates.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Assess regimen options, user-related factors, and common misconceptions when determining candidacy and optimal regimens for principal populations

  • Implement strategies to improve PrEP uptake in underserved at-risk populations, addressing social and logistical barriers
