Target Audience

This program is intended for healthcare professionals who manage patients with CIC, including gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, and GI-specific advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners and physician associates/physician assistants).

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to improve learners’ knowledge and competence in approaching patients with CIC by using a patient-centric, evidence-based approach to care that addresses the patient’s specific needs and leads to desirable outcomes and patient satisfaction. Additionally, the patient aspects of this program are designed to educate, encourage, and empower patients to receive optimal individual care and become active participants in shared-decision making with their healthcare team.
