Target Audience

This activity is intended for dermatologists, rheumatologists, nurse practitioners, and physician associates in dermatology and rheumatology who are involved in the care of patients with PsO and PsA.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with Psoriatic Arthritic (PsA).

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  • Evaluate the evidence for the correlation between PsO, PsA, and obesity, including obesity-associated comorbidities

  • Implement recommended screening and management practices for obesity in patients with PsO and/or PsA

  • Apply expert guidance to have clear, yet compassionate and culturally sensitive conversations with patients around weight and metabolic health

  • Integrate patient goals and preferences into management plans for patients with PsO/PsA and obesity
