Target Audience

This activity is intended for interprofessional healthcare professionals who care for patients with AAD in specialty and primary care practice settings, including nurse practitioners and physician associates.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with Alzheimer’s disease.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  • Utilize unique communication strategies to elicit a thorough AAD symptom history from caregivers

  • Employ evidence-based tools for the assessment and diagnosis of AAD

  • Assess the latest clinical evidence for new and emerging options for the treatment of AAD
