This activity is intended for healthcare professionals caring for patients with schizophrenia including psychiatrists, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician associates, registered nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and psychologists.
The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with Schizophrenia.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Assess evidence for efficacy and safety profiles of newer agents used in the treatment of schizophrenia
Differentiate characteristics of emerging treatments for schizophrenia including novel mechanisms of action, kinetics, efficacy, and AE profiles
Recognize the role of newer and emerging agents in addressing unmet needs in the current treatment of schizophrenia
Design a patient care plan that integrates novel agents into the current treatment of schizophrenia
