What are the Maryland Medical License CME Requirements?

Maryland Medical License CME Requirements

Physicians must earn at least 50 Category 1 CME credits in the 2 years before their license expires. On the application, you must certify that you have earned the required credits during the 2 years preceding the license expiration.

Licensees applying to renew their license after receiving their initial license or reinstating their license for the first time after April 1, 2022, must attest to completing an implicit bias training program course (Health Occupations Article §1–225). This is a one-time requirement.

This information is in accordance with the Maryland Board of Physicians. Please note that CME requirements are subject to change.

We continue to make updates as we become aware of them. However, healthcare professionals should confirm the most current requirements with their state Board of Medicine for accuracy.
