According to Nev. Rev. Stat. 630.253, all active physicians, physician associates, and anesthesiologist assistants are required 2 hours every 2 years in misuse and abuse of controlled substances, prescribing opioids, or addiction for all prescribers.
If you are a psychiatrist of physician associate working with a psychiatrist as your supervision physician, you must have 2 hours in cultural competency, diversity, equity, and inclusion for license renewal.
In addition, the board encourages licensees who care for patients aged 60 years or older to take up to 4 hours of geriatrics and gerontology education as a portion of their continuing education requirements.
