What are the Vermont Medical License CME Requirements?


Vermont Medical License CME Requirements

The Vermont Board of Medical Practice requires physician licensees to provide "evidence of current professional CME rules for re-licensure include a general requirement for 30 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ during each licensure cycle. This includes a minimum of one credit for hospice, palliative care, or pain management (26 V.S.A. §1400(b)). For those who prescribe controlled substances, a minimum of two credits is required on the prescribing of controlled substances.

This information is in accordance with the Vermont Board of Medical Practice. Please note that CME requirements are subject to change. We continue to make updates as we become aware of them. However, healthcare professionals should confirm the most current requirements with their state Board of Medicine for accuracy.
