The conference evaluation should not be accessed until after the final conference session is attended, as there is ONE COMBINED EVALUATION for Friday's AND Saturday’s sessions.   • With many different augmentation options for MDD, it can be difficult to choose which option is most appropriate for a patient based on their specific characteristics.   • Psychedelic-assisted therapy may become available in the near future, which makes integration of this treatment option important. This session will focus on patient characteristics that may make an ideal candidate for this type of treatment, as well as the latest clinical efficacy and safety evidence. Finally, the process for conducting a psychedelic-assisted therapy session will be discussed based on expert best practices and study protocols.

  • Neuromodulation is an important tool to consider for patients who have difficult-to-treat depression in MDD or bipolar disorder. This session will discuss the various definitions of difficult-to-treat depression and the latest evidence for neuromodulation strategies—including ECT, TMS, DBS, and VNS—to meet the needs of patients experiencing suboptimal treatment.
