2023 Psychiatry Update

Treatment individualization will be discussed, including current and emerging treatment options for bipolar depression and how to individualize treatment selection for patients.

This session will provide an overview of differentiating switching and augmentation strategies for patients with lack of response in MDD. Evidence-based augmentation strategies, including antidepressants with different mechanisms of action, antipsychotics, and other agents recommended by guidelines, will be further discussed.

This session will focus on manifestations of trauma in the community setting, diagnosis of PTSD, and current evidence-based treatment of PTSD with pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy tools. Emerging treatment options for PTSD will also be covered.
