Goal Statement
The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of learners in effort to improve practices around brain health preservation and prevention of cognitive decline.

Target Audience
This program is intended for healthcare professionals who care for patients at risk for cognitive decline, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates who practice in primary care, general neurology, psychiatry, and OB-GYN practice settings.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Assess the benefits of optimizing brain health to prevent cognitive decline before it occurs
  • Analyze the evidence for the use of testing to detect AD pathology before symptoms emerge
  • Implement effective practices for discussing brain health and cognitive decline prevention with patients during routine care
  • Formulate strategies to maximize reimbursement of brain health discussions during routine patient care
  • Evaluate for known modifiable risk factors for cognitive decline and dementia at patient visits
