The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge and competence of learners who care for patients with diseases of the kidneys.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Nephrology at the Helm—Advancing Timely CKD Care Through Cross-Specialty Collaboration

  • Identify the multidirectional associations of CKD with type 2 diabetes cardiovascular disease
  • Develop strategies to position nephrology healthcare professionals as central coordinators in cross-specialty care teams to ensure seamless, patient-centered CKD management
  • Apply guideline-directed therapeutic management of CKD to slow or prevent disease progression and reduce cardiovascular risk

A New Paradigm In IgAN Management— Advancing Clinical Practice in the Era of Therapeutic Expansion

  • Differentiate the mechanistic targets of novel therapies for IgAN, including those that modulate the complement pathway, endothelin system, APRIL, and dual APRIL/BAFF signaling
  • Assess the most recent clinical efficacy and safety data on emerging IgAN therapies to support personalized treatment decisions
  • Implement patient-centered strategies incorporating novel IgAN treatments to slow disease progression and optimize long-term outcomes
