Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to improve learners’ competence in implementing practical solutions to a range of the most significant barriers to uptake and persistence with HIV treatment and prevention services.

Target Audience
This activity is intended for nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists, and allied healthcare professionals who provide care for people at risk of or living with HIV.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Advise on HIV management strategies, including counselling people with HIV about ART and monitoring outcomes on therapy
  • Support persistence in care and adherence to therapy, assisting patients in overcoming structural barriers to care
