The timing and agenda for each individual meeting is as follows:

  • Welcome, CME information, and baseline outcomes questions (10 mins)
  • Case discussions and didactic slides with concluding outcomes questions (35 min)
  • Question and answer session (15 mins)

Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to improve learners’ competence in implementing optimal HIV treatment and prevention strategies through the appropriate use of contemporary ARV regimens.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Integrate best practices in the evidence-based management of ART across the spectrum of ART experience
  • Integrate strategies to proactively consider patient candidacy for long-acting ART, administer it appropriately, support patient adherence to dosing visits, and minimize barriers to uptake and adverse events
  • Identify barriers to PrEP uptake and employ practical strategies to increase PrEP use among those for whom it is recommended
  • Appropriately counsel patients regarding the anticipated clinical role of new and investigational ART regimens
