Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to improve learners’ competence in implementing optimal HIV treatment and prevention strategies through the appropriate use of contemporary antiretroviral regimens.

Target Audience
This program is intended for registered nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who provide care for people living with or at risk of HIV infection. 

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Devise HIV management strategies based on the results of recent clinical studies of established antiretroviral agents
  • Appropriately apply and counsel patients regarding the clinical role(s) of new and investigational ART regimens and strategies
  • Integrate the latest scientific findings to develop and optimize effective HIV prevention interventions

The Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC) is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Nursing Continuing Professional Development

Upon full participation in this webinar and completion of an evaluation, participants will be awarded 1.5 nursing contact hours, including 1.5 hours of pharmacotherapeutics content.
