Goal Statement
The goal of this program is to improve the competence of healthcare professionals working in urgent care and emergency medicine settings in improving rates of screening, diagnosis, and linkage to care among people at risk of infection with HIV, HBV, or HCV. 

Target Audience
This program is intended for physicians, pharmacists, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals working in urgent care and emergency medicine settings, including both primary care providers and specialists. 

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Implement strategies to improve rates of routine screening for HIV, HBV, and HCV in emergency and urgent care settings
  • Integrate simplified strategies for establishing a confirmed diagnosis for each infection
  • Apply best practices in linkage to appropriate treatment or prevention services following screening
