Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to improve learners’ competence in implementing optimal HIV treatment and prevention strategies through the appropriate use of contemporary antiretroviral regimens.

Target Audience
This activity is intended for physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who provide care in academic institutions for people living with or at risk of HIV infection.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Adopt practical strategies to increase PrEP use among those for whom it is recommended, with appropriate individualization of the regimen to meet each person’s needs

  • Apply strategies to individualize ART in specific population subgroups and to engage effectively with patients to understand their perspectives and improve their satisfaction with their care

  • Adopt practical strategies to ensure that LA ART can be offered and administered for individuals for whom it may be appropriate
