Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to improve learners’ competence in implementing optimal HIV treatment and prevention strategies through the appropriate use of contemporary ARV regimens. 

Target Audience
This activity is intended for nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who provide care for patients with or at risk of HIV infection.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Integrate strategies to proactively consider patient candidacy for long-acting ART, administer it appropriately, support patient adherence to dosing visits, and minimize barriers to uptake and adverse events
  • Understand the considerations for initiation and use of long-acting injectable ART for PrEP
