Goal Statement
The goal of this program is to improve HCPs’ competence in adopting HIV management strategies that minimize complexity for both providers and patients at key points in the care cascade. 

Target Audience
This program is intended for physicians, pharmacists, registered nurses, physician associates, and other healthcare professionals who care for people with HIV infection. 

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Minimize initial barriers to accessing HIV care through simplified approaches for HIV screening, diagnosis, linkage to care, and prompt ART initiation
  • Devise strategies to provide simple and effective initial ART that balance the benefits of standardized therapy and individualized choices based on PWHs' characteristics and wishes
  • Switch PWH who are virologically suppressed and/or highly treatment experienced to simplified ART regimens when appropriate
  • Ensure that management strategies throughout the HIV care continuum reflect PWHs' preferences for therapy that is as simple and unobtrusive as possible
