Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge and competence of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with Psoriasis.

Target Audience
The educational activity is intended for physicians—including residents and fellows—nurse practitioners, and physician associates practicing in dermatology and, secondarily, in primary care, who are involved in the care of patients with PsO.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize key evidence for the correlation between PsO and obesity, including obesity-associated comorbidities 
  • Employ recommended screening and management practices for obesity in patients with PsO 
  • Initiate clear, yet compassionate and culturally sensitive conversations with patients around weight and metabolic health 
  • Formulate individualized, patient-centered management plans for patients with PsO and obesity
