Goal Statement
The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with Depression.

Target Audience
This program is intended for healthcare professionals caring for patients with major depressive disorder, particularly family physicians, physician associates, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals in primary care and family practice settings.  

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize criteria that determine when to switch or augment medications in MDD based on best practices
  • Interpret the emerging evidence for the use of antipsychotics in the treatment of MDD
  • Select an evidence-based augmentation agent for a patient with MDD
