Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge, confidence, and competence of oncology nurses and other healthcare professionals in caring for patients with non-small-cell lung cancer receiving combination chemotherapy and immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. 

Target Audience
This program is intended for oncology nurses and other multidisciplinary care team members involved in the treatment of patients with non-small-cell lung cancer. 

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the mechanism of action of immune checkpoint inhibitors used to treat NSCLC
  • Educate patients and colleagues about the rationale and key data highlights supporting the use of chemoimmunotherapy regimens in NSCLC
  • Employ a holistic approach to administering chemoimmunotherapy in NSCLC that takes into account patients’ health and preferences and educates patients on safety issues
  • Manage adverse events associated with chemoimmunotherapy regimens for NSCLC while maintaining optimal benefit from these agents
