Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to enable learners to integrate microbiota-based LBPs into optimized strategies to mitigate the burden of Clostridioides difficile infections. 

Target Audience
This program is intended for physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who care for patients with, or at risk for, Clostridioides difficile infections including infectious diseases specialists and gastroenterologists. 

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize the role of dysbiosis in the pathophysiology of refractory and recurrent CDIs
  • Reassess FMT strategies for complex CDI cases in light of new microbiome restoration options
  • Identify candidates for LBPs as part of optimized CDI therapeutic plans
