Goal Statement
This activity aims to improve learners' knowledge, confidence, and competence in accurately performing pathological assessment, diagnosing, and providing evidence-based treatment strategies for patients with HER2-low/ultralow metastatic breast cancer.

Target Audience
This educational activity is intended for pathologists, oncologists, and other laboratory and healthcare professionals involved in the precision care of patients with HER2-low/ultralow metastatic breast cancer.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Score HER2 levels via immunohistochemistry (IHC) in routine and complex breast cancer cases in accordance with guidelines and expert opinion

  • Implement pathological procedures to identify patients with metastatic breast cancer who may benefit from HER2-targeted therapy through optimal assessment of HER2 status, and streamline communication of results

  • Select novel HER2-targeted therapies for treatment of patients with HER2-low/ultralow metastatic breast cancer based on clinical data, guideline recommendations, and patient-/disease-related factors
