Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to improve primary care providers’ awareness of PrEP and their confidence and competence in starting to prescribe PrEP.

Target Audience
This activity is intended for physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals who manage patients in primary care settings in key US states with insufficient numbers of PrEP prescribers.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Take steps to start providing PrEP services in primary care and general medicine settings, as a crucial component of reducing geographic discrepancies in PrEP availability

  • Devise strategies to address social determinants of health and improve PrEP availability among racial and ethnic minorities

  • Apply a solid understanding of PrEP regimens and essential aspects of PrEP delivery to proactively incorporate PrEP services into primary care and general medicine clinical practice settings
