Goal Statement
The goal of this program is to improve healthcare professionals’ knowledge and competence regarding RSV infections and vaccines for older adults, including burden of disease, clinical manifestations, risk factors for severe disease, vaccine candidacy, and overcoming vaccination barriers.

Target Audience
This program is intended for physicians, pharmacists, physician associates/physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals who care for older adults at risk of RSV infection. 

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the impact of RSV disease in adults, including epidemiology and burden of disease
  • Recognize risk factors for severe RSV disease in older adults
  • Identify older adults who are candidates for RSV vaccination
  • Develop strategies to overcome barriers to RSV vaccine uptake in older adults
