Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the pathophysiology of resistant HTN as well as unmet treatment needs and clinical implications of suboptimal treatment

  • Define the distinctive mechanisms of action of emerging therapeutic agents for resistant HTN

  • Compare evidence for efficacy and safety profiles of emerging agents for the treatment of resistant HTN

  • Explain the potential clinical utility of emerging agents to address unmet needs and transform clinical practice for managing resistant HTN
