The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge and competence of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with Diabetes 

Target Audience
This program is intended for neurology, primary care, and endocrinology providers (physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates) and other healthcare professionals who manage patients with diabetes who have a history of or are at risk for stroke. 

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the known and proposed mechanisms by which GLP-1 RAs contribute to stroke risk reduction
  • Analyze the most recent evidence for GLP-1 RAs in stroke risk reduction in patients with T2D
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with T2D to reduce the risk of stroke
