The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge and competence of pathologists in detecting actionable oncogenic gene fusions in patients with cancer.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Perform actionable evidence-based, guideline-recommended assays or molecular tests to detect oncogenic gene fusions in patients with cancer
  • Evaluate the clinical applications of efficacy and safety data supporting the use of therapies targeting oncogenic gene fusions in patients with cancer
  • Counsel oncology colleagues on the accurate interpretation of NGS reporting and the clinical applications of oncogenic gene fusions detected on broad-based molecular testing
  • Appraise institutional workflows causing procedural delays in molecular profiling results
