To improve learners’ competence in improving HIV outcomes in transgender people by overcoming barriers to care and addressing unique ART-related considerations.

Target Audience
This program is intended for physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who provide care for people living with HIV.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Implement strategies to improve linkage and retention in HIV care and ART adherence for transgender people living with HIV
  • Provide gender-affirmative HIV care for transgender people living with HIV 
  • Individualize HIV care to optimize the overall health of key subpopulations of transgender people living with HIV, including younger, older, and minority individuals
